Re: Sad.....Day's of Yore

Yes, So much interaction, information and history lost by forums shutting down. I remember when the Boss GT Forum was corrupted, went down and all the information lost which was enormous over the years. :( Not sure if any ever used a board like the GT 8, if not, it's actually a fairly complex device...

Re: Sad.....Day's of Yore

Geez, look at me. Just back in after a couple months.... my bad :( Yes, Facebook sucks! pure and simple. Don't take me wrong, I use it with other activities (not personally) and most all directed to current events but it is not what a forum is. As an example, I have a hobby of sand cars and p...

Sad.....Day's of Yore

Just have to chime in to said it's so sad to see the diminished activity and discussion on the forum which is prevalent with other specialized music/gear forums as well. I know I don't play as much lately and not diving into my gear as all the years before. Seems like times have changed so much a la...

OTR 80?

Did they make many "OTR 80's" in the 90's versus the OR 80 or vise versa?

Re: Orange OR and Laney Klipp

You definitely cant go wrong with a OR120! Owning several OR80's 120's and Klipp's along with the PA model which doesn't have the Klipp circuit, I personally do not like the "Klipp" Fuzz....nothing other than ice pick horror...lol However the clean channel is to die for, with their Partridge transfo...

Re: Boss HM-2 can only do swedish death metal?

How does it sound compared to the MT-2? It's known to be a bit of failure . I modded mine with a kit that makes it much more useful. I believe if I remember correctly the MT-2 was less dynamic, not as warm and without the super clear and pronounced low hz that gives a good chug and saturated sound ...

Re: JJ ecc803s in gainsection causing scratchy pot!!

Well, like it says, I just replaced my gain-pre´s with JJ ecc803s and when I turn it on...scratchy pot?? switched between them, sovtek and the pps and when at least one of the JJ´s is in the mix, scratchy gain. It works great in the PI (really does work nice tone wise) but no can do in the prea amp...

Re: This is ridiculous (Reverb listing)

The speakers in the cabs will make a huge difference to the value if matched and original Celestion / Fanes No, we're taking that into account. Old speakers are very nice, but not THAT expensive! ;) Andy. I looked again, I was off a couple amps...lol my bad. I thought there were four total. Yep.......

Re: Two PPC112s?

I've heard a little about closed back 2x12 with V30's can be a bit "boomy" like many Mesa's. It's the solid build cab and frequency has a major play with the V30 spectrum..

However dialed..it can be very "chunky" which I'm always a fan for
