Re: LETS SEE SOME PEDALBOARDS!!!

Here is my pedalboard for now. I plan on tearing it down and building a new board where I can route the patch cables under the board and so that the individual effects will be beside the multi-effects (instead of on the side and in front). But that will have to wait until I find the time. http://i12...

Re: Band Burnout?

It's just really difficult to get everything right. My last four bands all had issues. One had the lead singer from hell (I'm sure many of you have met this guy); huge ego and everything had to be his way or he would develop throat issues and cancel gigs. I couldn't handle the guy constantly telling...

Re: Just promised my girlfriend no new gear for a year

Haha, there's OU818...I don't even know you, but I knew you couldn't make it a year. I recently updated my facebook cover photo to the same picture that is on the signature line here. My wife saw it and said: "I had no idea you had that many guitars". I danced around explaining when and why I ...

Re: Just promised my girlfriend no new gear for a year

So in a fit of semi drunken defenciveness, I just promised my very long term girlfriend that I won't by any new gear (bar a tremolo pedal) for the next 12 months. So to document this I took photos of my current rig and will update this thread in a year to compare Place your bets, gentleman. http://...

Orange Sighting: Crestor Commercial

They block out the name brand but you can tell it's an Orange head and cab (still has the logo on the cab). Also appears to be a Gretch guitar. Fast forward to 00:43 to see the Orange in question :D http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=crestor+commercial&view=detail&&mid=3D32AE783E57BE59854A3D32AE783...

Re: David Bowie

I saw David Bowie many times but more importantly to me I got to meet him once. It was the first show of the 1978 Isolar II tour (better known as either the "Low/Heroes" or "Stages" tour). It was March 29, 1978 and a friend of mine got backstage through a connection that he had (some girl) and found...

Re: Where can we find your music?

If you want to listen to some covers you can check my band 'Neon Ballroom' out. Simply search 'NeonBallroomWales' on facebook...there's a couple of videos on there with us smashing the life out of some different covers. Haven't done anything original for a couple of years now and all the links have...

Re: Guess? Jeans new ad...

I once played in a band with a female lead singer and a female percussion player. They were both fairly attractive too...but neither looked even remotely as hot as these two. I wonder if they have any REAL talent...other than the obvious

Re: Pedals/pedal board...seeking advise.

And again...thanks to everyone for the advise. So based on the information I got from all of your responses this is what I am going to do: I am going to get a good power supply. I am also going to keep my Boss ME-50. For what I do, I think the advantages outweigh the negatives. I am also going to ke...

Re: Pedals/pedal board...seeking advise.

Snickerpuss: Very thorough response and some great advise. I know it takes a lot of time to sit down and respond to these questions and I want you to know how much I appreciate it (yours and the others who have responded...great message board). That G-system looks awesome...but that $1350.00 is a li...

Re: Pedals/pedal board...seeking advise.

Once again, thanks for all the replies. Jondog: I looked up the two power supplies you mentioned and T-Rex has a Fuel Tank Junior that is very reasonably priced. In your opinion is it as good as the Voodoo Lab Pedal Power? If so...I will go for the one with the lower price point. However, it's only ...

Re: Pedals/pedal board...seeking advise.

Wow, I "THOUGHT" I was a novice before. Now I "KNOW" I am. Thank you all for you responses. Snickerpuss: Right now I am in a blues/country/classic rock/60s British cover band...so there is a ton of variety in the tone and effects I need. As to your question:"How big do you think your pedalboard need...

Pedals/pedal board...seeking advise.

Okay, let me start this by saying: I am by no means a pro player. I am in a band and just play bars and clubs for fun. I have a Dual Terror with a PPC 212 OB cabinet which I am very happy with. But I have a couple of questions and I am seeking some advise on effects, pedals and pedal board. So I am ...
