Re: NPD-Monster Effects
How does the Mastortion sound? I've been on the hunt for one for a while now. What are you running it through? It is pretty badass. Right now , sad to say, I'm running it through my peavey Windsor that I modded to be a poor mans jcm800. The amp is pretty okay sounding but really comes alive with th...

NPD-Monster Effects
After years if searching, I've finally come into possession of a Monster Effects Mastortion. I found it on a local trading board on Canada and the seller was not willing to ship to US. I was very lucky that a member on a non guitar related forum was semi local and willing to go make the face to face...

Re: It's orange but not Orange
Everything a Marshall should be IMO.
Plus the KT88s.... its HUGE. I've got the volume on .5 and its awesome.
I REALLY need to get KT88s for my TH100 if I'm going to keep it.

It's orange but not Orange
Yep, the Splawn Nitro with KT88s is a GREAT amp. but when I got it... it didn't match. Black headshell. Now it belongs in the rig.
Need to buy a headbone soon.

Re: Pickups that pair well with Rockerverb 50 MKI
Tone is in the fingers for sure. After spending time with Kirk playing thru a Fender Mustang 1x10" practice amp and sounding like his normal live tone which involves all the orange and Randall gear, it's all him. Was trying to talk him into BKPs as well.

Re: Pickups that pair well with Rockerverb 50 MKI
Of course, if I felt like dropping $300, I'd go with the BKP Black Dog set. I just can't justify spending that kind of money for them right now. Funny you mention that set. I'm ordering some neck week, just debating raw nickel vs. aged raw nickel for my goldtop. I just removed all my dimebuckers fr...

Re: i need your wisdom guys
I wouldn't get EMGs. Like others said, get a humbucker in the bridge position of the strat, a lot of strats are routed out for a humbucker already. So a cheap new pickguard and Seymour Duncan invader or JB will take care of a lot of it. Then, you could buy some type of box for the front of the amp, ...

Sold my OR15 and PPC112, looking for new amp
I had originally picked up the OR15 and ppc112 because I was planning to leave my main rig at the practice space, but my garage became the practice space so I didn't need a "home" rig anymore. I'm considering picking up a Splawn Nitro head or some other Splawn head and grab an Orange tolex-ed box fo...

Re: Another eq question
What do the people who watch your band have to think?
What about your singer and drummer and bassist? That's what is more important IMO
