Re: Power Conditioner Bar/Strip?
That one looks decent TBH. Nice and portable. I'm curious if you run a power bar out of the outlets? If so does it add "noise"? Live I just plug my amp into one outlet and my effects board to the other, but I have another AC-215A I keep at home that I plug all my amps and recording gear, computer, ...

Re: Delay pedal suggestions ....tc electronic or way huge..
Another alternative is the way huge supapuss, but that's pretty pricey too. Even 2nd hand. I had a Way Huge Supa-Puss for a while, but didn't like the tap tempo on it. I even modified it by adding a 1/4" jack in parallel with the built in tap tempo switch so I could use my external pedal. The probl...

Re: Delay pedal suggestions ....tc electronic or way huge..
I'm partial to the old BOSS DD5 myself and use a M-Audio SP-1 pedal for the tap tempo. I find it a lot easier to tap in a live setting on a low profile pedal where I can keep my heel on the floor and tap like I would if I was just tapping my foot along to the beat.

Re: Power Conditioner Bar/Strip?
I use a Furman AC-215A. My band played a fair amount of outdoor gigs, and had a gas generator's noisy power mess up a bunch of our amps. I did some research and ended up buying the AC-215A as protection. Haven't had any problems since, and I swear the amp sounds better plugged into it regardless of ...

FYI: Jensen sale, Jet Tornado Neodymium speakers
Hi all. Just a heads up that Antique Electronic Supply (tubesandmore-dot-com) is blowing out all their Jensen speakers until Aug 22. I'm partial to the Jensen Jet Tornados because they're super light and sound the best of all the Neodymium Magnet speakers I've tried. They're usually $140ish so I don...

Re: Phaser help
I've been using an earlier Mojo Hand Nebula Phaser through a AD15 with great results. They pop up on eBay from time to time for under $100. Very Pink Floyd sounding.

Re: Anyone Re-Cap an AD15?
Yeah, I have a cap discharge box I built, and there could definitely be other problems with the amp, but these caps are puffy and need to be replaced. I've ordered some of the Panasonics. I've gotten some feedback from other forums where people have used them without issue. I'll let everyone know ho...

Re: Anyone Re-Cap an AD15?
Surprising no, I've seen plenty of people having issues with it on-line though. I did add extra glue my connectors one time I had it apart.

Re: Anyone Re-Cap an AD15?
In my circle of music friend there are four AD15s that I see regularly, three of which I've opened up and have worked on changing tubes, speakers, and tried to de-squeal. One of them has a problem where the output is extremely low. It's not mine but my friend asked me to take a look at it. Two of th...

Anyone Re-Cap an AD15?
I'm looking to re-cap the power supply filter capacitors on my AD15. I wanted to see if others here have done this and what they selected for replacement caps. I've been looking at the Panasonic EEU-EE2W series, EEU-EE2W470S (47uF) and EEU-EE2W220S (22uF). However, I'm not sure that the ripple curre...

Re: AD15 Squealing, Please Help!
The issue/squeal I'm getting, once it starts, is definitely not something you could just ignore and keep playing. The steps I described before are just what I've been doing to test it out. If I keep the gain cranked with the master dimed, I can get some really gnarly sounds. The amp will go into osc...

Re: AD15 Squealing, Please Help!
RE: how to make it squeal. In a band environment where it first occurred I had the master dimed, the gain at noon, not totally sure where the eqs were, but around noon. We were about to play a song and started getting what we all thought was PA feedback. After turning the PA off we realized it was c...

Re: AD15 Squealing, Please Help!
well, it looks like my friend's Orange was built in 2001. Has the plastic standoffs. Its components look different than mine (It has an actual 91K resistor in R4!), but the board looks the same, as much as I can tell without taking it out. All the traces I can see seem to be the same... and I can ma...

Hi Steamboat. Do you have a close-up picture of one of those blue capacitors where you can read the writing on them?steamboat wrote:

Re: AD15 Squealing, Please Help!
Here's a picture of the metal lugs. I noticed in your pictures your board design date is 4/10/2002. So far i've seen 3 board designs for the Ad15. My serial #005 has a different board than they used in production, dated 30/7/1998, wired very differently and labeled millennium. its using metal lugs....
