Thanks guys, I will try to go to Brighton!
I've seen the Max Guitar Store, it is close to Amsterdam. Seems awesome! Anyone visited yet?
Cheers

Re: Amp simulators
Lol. Sorry, I am just so excited with the Kemper that I cant reccomend it enough.
Anyway, with your budget, you could look into the Atomic Amplifire. Althought it is pedal form, it seems to be a very cool piece of gear, and demos sound great. Never tried it though.

Re: Amp simulators
How about a Kemper? I purchased one, and I'll tell you, haven't used my amps since... It is incredibly good.

Re: NAD
Exactly that one. It sounds amazing. I was actually concerned about the whole "snap shot" thing and limitations to tweak a profile. But, really, I haven´t felt the need to make major tweakings toa good profile once I found some that I like. So far, I´ve selected six profiles that I am using most: a ...

Well, kind off. I decided to see what all the hype is about, and got me a Kemper Powered Head. So far, very impressed. It sounds killer with the right profiles, be it through my studio monitors or my Orange PPC212 (despite some people saying it works best with FRFR and stuff). Some of the Orange Roc...

Re: NAD - eeek shock horror gasp ..a Marshall????
Nice! Congrats. I purchased a VM 2266 combo about a month a go, which has been in the amp tech for an overall revision and tube swaps (they had a hard time finding a pair of KT66s here in Brazil). Got it today, can´t wait to get home and try it properly. The only thing I am concerned about it is tha...

Re: NAD
Problem identified,... I knew there had to be something wrong... The tubes are not KT66, they seem to be 6550, and pretty screwed up... Already contacted the guy that sold me to fix the issue... First problem I have with buying used gear...

Re: NAD
Thanks guys. I had the opportunity to play it for while tonight, and was able to come up with some very cool tones. Some initial thoughts: - the volume jump between the two dynamic ranges is huge. I may be able to use this thing as a two channel amp if I stick a clean boost in LDR, to even the volum...

I´ve been on a quest for an amp for a while now. I sold my Fargen Mini Plex (great sounding amp, just not enough power for live situations) and was initially considering a JVM410 or a rack mounted JMP1. Tried the JVM, didnt do anything for me. Tried a DSL40c as well, it surprised me (but only the cl...

Re: Major doubt relating (possible) major gear change
Yeah, I find that some videos are pretty impressive, some amp models seem to sound extremely realistic. Mark Day's videos are awesome, in particular. And I was planning on using it as a head, with a power amp and a cabinet (and not mount a full PA rig). To be honest, they do not come very often in c...

Major doubt relating (possible) major gear change
Currently I own three tube amps: Rocker 30, Fargen mini Plexi mkII and Reeves Custom 10HG. I use them with an Orange PPC212ob and some pedals, and love the tones I get. But it seems that each of them has some flaws that I would really like to fix... For instance, the Rocker 30 has no FX loop, the Re...
