FX Pedals Order
It's some time since I have written my last post here but you Orange people are always in my heart. Just a simple (or not so simple) question for you today: My pedalboard now has pedals in this order: EHX Octave Multiplexer > Hotone Liftup (Boost) > Crybaby GCB95 > Mooer Yellow Comp > Ibanez TS9 > M...

Re: Tone Troubles, Part II
Right! The situation might be better, I tried a different eq settings on the amp, Gain 11:00 Treble 13:00 Mids Max Bass 2:00 Volume as loud as possible ...So, I am waiting for the next rehearsal with my band to see if this is a good solution, I'll let you know again ;) Probably be worth trying taki...

Re: Tone Troubles, Part II
I had an idea tonight and it comes down to another question:
Do you think adding a 2x12 cab (it is technically possible I think to connect 2x16 ohm cabs on the 8 ohms power jacks of the rockerverb isn't it?) will enhance the tone?

Re: Tone Troubles, Part II
I think experimenting more with p/up height may still be the key here. Good hints on that from corky newman: viewtopic.php?t=17878 Every pick up seems to have a sweet spot, you can tweak humbuckers further using the pole pieces- if you drop the pick up and raise the polepieces quite a way you can a...

Re: Tone Troubles, Part II
Great, really useful answers!
I'm gonna try with re-eqing the amp and then if it is the case with an eq pedal.
I also thought to switch '57s with P93s (or P94? the humbucker-sized P90s), but since I'd like to keep my guitar stock, this is the last thing.
Thank you all, I'll let you know soon!

Re: Tone Troubles, Part II
Two things jump out at me: 1. More mids. Electric guitar cutting through in a mix is basically about the mids... 2. Less gain. The very best rock guitar sounds have less gain than you'd think. Get the master up a bit higher and the gain down some. Do you also tweak your guitar controls for differen...

Tone Troubles, Part II
Two years after this topic: http://forum.orangeamps.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=52398" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I am here again to ask a question to the mighty OrangeAmps Forum guys. In the meantime I bought a great Fender Tele which sound (as expected) great with clean tones but al...

Re: RV 50 Dirty, Soul Food or OD Glove?
As you seem to be looking at EHX pedals you may want to check out the new 'Crayon'...not to be confused with JHS's new pedal of exactly the same name! Lol! That's what I thought watching the video of that pedal! One of my 1St thought is have you simply tried to run it with less gain and more ...

[FUZZ] Way Huge Havalina
Hi! Anyone got this effect? How does it behaves? I am looking for a fuzz for stoner/Josh Homme-ish solo kind of sounds, and I really dislike big muff tones because I think they have been really overused... I know rockerverb is a pain in the a** for dirt pedals but I just would like to know your expe...

RV 50 Dirty, Soul Food or OD Glove?
I know the topic of rockerverbs and dirt pedals have been discussed, re-discussed, and overly re-discussed, but I'll try to make this one quite more specific. I play stoner/heavy/hard'n'heavy and some fusion things with my band (http://noisedocks.bandcamp.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return ...

Re: RV 50 Reverb Problem
Amp is dated 03/2004.
Today I played with it for two hours at a good volume and it worked really well, except for reverb.

Re: Tone Troubles
Late answer to my question.
I tried my amp with a Telecaster Baja and it sounded exactly with the tone I have in mind.
And GAS gets worse.
Thanks everyone!
