Re: TH30 or AD30?

This forum does seem to have this huge bias against the ad30, i dont know if I've even seen it recommended for anything. i use mine for death/grind/hardcore and it sounds awesome, but also for jazz and blues and rock and ambient. Get a proper od pedal and a 4x12 with v30s and it can do anything that...

Re: Just Joined The Orange Amp Club - NAD Orange AD30 HTC

This is my main amp and i love everything about it! The creamyness, the crunch, the saginess, the warmth...I play jazz, rock and grindcore on it so i'd say it's pretty versitile as long as you like it's core sound, which isn't for everybody. I have never understod were people are coming from when th...

I would never use anything less than 11 speakers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpdKsfy-1Cw" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Bare Knuckle Pickups

I have Bare Knuckles in all of my guitars. A Caparison horus with a ceramic warpig for bridge and a trilogy in the neck, which is my metal guitar, for dem br00tz. A very special but awesome sound. Unpotted stormy mondays in an Eastman t186sm, sounds awesome as well, incredible clean tone and amazing...

Remember, there's a whole record lable dedicated to the orange metal tone, Deathwish Inc. If you like what you hear there then orange is the way to go,

Re: Ad140, which boost pedal?

I've tried all the boutique boost and overdrive pedals in my ad30, from timmy to the bb to the fulltone boosters, but the one that have fit the amp the best has actually been the way huge green rhino. It really brings out the hairy, airy and grainy aspect of the amps overdrive tone while smoothening...

Why you tell me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpdKsfy-1Cw&feature=youtu.be" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; On a serious note, of course they do, however, they have a special sound I'd describe as alive, face-melting and freaking awesome! They wont give you a sterile, lifeless, proce...

Re: REVERB PEDALS

As already mentioned the strymon blue sky reverb is the best reverb pedal there is, however, if you're just looking for spring reverb the mad professor silver spring has a less tweakable but actually slightly more responsive spring reverb, for a lot less money.

I have, but I didn't like it, it didn't have that orange growl I'm looking for.

Re: I want an OR50, but...

I agree that the g12t-75's aren't your obvious choice for doom sludge, but actually they sound pretty good with the peavey amp I'm using now. They really fattens it up, compare to the v30 2x12 that seem to only give me black metal tones. And they sounded really good with my ad30, too, fattening the ...

I want an OR50, but...

I'm worried about the wattage. I play in a very loud grind/doom/sludge/crust band, now using a 6505 through a or412 with g12t-75's and a ppc212 with v30, and I have sometimes tried to use my AD30 and Rocker 30 to get a fatter sound, but they have both been just audible, and that's not enough for me....

Re: Rocker 30 gain

Yeah I know, I'll see if I can get a hold on a couple of them cheap, though I did try the new one in all positions and V1 is where it made the biggest difference. But it's strange, I've always thought an old preamp tube would sound dull and lifeless, not so with this one, it sounded pretty great, ve...
