Did you figure this out?
I have a brand new RV100iii head and I'm finding it impossible to use the effects loop. Its fine with just a cable in it but any pedals connected and its like I'm shorting a cable out its so noisy.

Re: TH30 Clean channel picking up local radio.
It was moved from UK to Canada. Voltage has been switched. Might just be my location. :/ obviously its just bugging me now as it didn't do it back in the uk. 1- Are sure the transformer rewiring has been done properly? If all your other amps work correctly, and that one has been modified (I know, i...

Re: TH30 Clean channel picking up local radio.
Ive tried cables/guitars/different power points. It does seem to be worse on one side of the house. im gonna try reseating the tubes tomorrow to see if its anything like a loose connection. I read on another forum this may be worth a try.

TH30 Clean channel picking up local radio.
Clean channel picks up local radio. Dirty channel is fine.
First thoughts? Dodgy Valve? Any valve swaps I can try to pinpoint the issue?

Re: Orange Rocker 15 with PPC112 cabinet
Rattling fixed! I took the 4 screws out that hold the amp head to the cab, removed the amp and sat it so it would run with the speaker facing the floor. My rattle occurred every time I played a A note so with the head cranked and a WOODEN(!!) chopstick in hand I droned an A note. With the chopstick ...

Re: Orange Rocker 15 with PPC112 cabinet
I replaced my Rocker 15 combo speaker with a Celstion G10 Vintage Speaker today. I can agree that it is a massive improvement in tone over the stock speaker. It's added much more meat to the sound and the fizziness which had started to bother me has gone. On another topic, now I've swapped the speak...

Re: Speaker Swap Advice
I tried a rocker 15 combo into an orange 2x12 with V30s in today and I really liked it. I can see why these are popular. I also tried the upright Orange cab with Neo Creambacks in it. They were better than by current speakers it seemed to me, but side by side with the V30s it was definitely the V30s...

Re: Speaker Swap Advice
No. It’s a TH30 head. The cab is a orange Jim Root #4 2x12.
I also have a rocker 15 combo.
I have zero reference in my setup of what a vintage 30 sounds like.

Speaker Swap Advice
After doing a side by side of all my amps through my Orange Jim Root #4 Cab I've come to the conclusion that the speakers in there are really not for me. They make everything too "dark(?)" sounding for my taste. I've tried it with my Rocker 15 combo, TH30, 6505MH, and my Marshall 1w JCM2000. While t...

Re: Orange TH30 crackly noise issue.
UPDATE: SOLVED Took it to a tech and the fault was caused by small rust particles on the PCB. Once cleaned off it's been perfect again. Some of the screws inside had gone rusty. Probably because the amp was sitting too close to a window that was open all the time. Lesson Learned. Keep PCB based amps...

Re: Orange TH30 crackly noise issue.
I'm having a similar issue with my TH30 head. I bough it used about 3 years ago and haven't replaced the tubes since. A couple of days ago I noticed a slight crackling fuzz sound, similar to a dirty pot, in my clean channel. The sound is present even with my guitar volume turned down. The issue doe...
