Thanks Andy I gigged with it last September and it was as good as gold or as well as "black velvet". I think the covering is pretty professional as there are only staples at the back of the amp. Where wood is exposed from general wear and tear there is no evidence of an original orange cover. Could ...

I bought this in early '80s in Tottenham Court Road - have receipt as well. It has a black velvet covering. There is no orange covering underneath.
