Re: Thunderverb 200 - ultimate amp?
 In summary, the Thunderverb 200 is the ultimate amp for some, not others. has anyone here even attested it to be their ultimate amp? only a few people chiming in saying it was a great amp (and I won't argue that it's not) but at 3000$, I think a buyer should expect ULTIMATE. If the TV200 soun...

Re: Thunderverb 200 - ultimate amp?
lol tv200 not as loud as one wants! maybe the 412 meant for that head is best. also with that much watts note that your cab selection is limited, i.e. no 212 cabs. orange 412s normally weigh 100 backbreaking pounds!!!! that's why you get two of em for a full stack! and if you're going to complain a...

Re: Thunderverb 200 - ultimate amp?
Wow, 200 watts not LOUD enough? If you can't get no satisfaction from 200 watts, then you must deal with a lot of disappointment in life. :) it wasn't a question of no satisfaction, just a failed expectation. I expected it to be LOUDer then my 120watters, what's the point of the extra wattage if I'...

Re: Thunderverb 200 - ultimate amp?
I had one for a while. sold it, don't regret it. yes the amp got loud, but not loud enough for my tastes. I wasn't a fan of the distortion voicings, too scooped for my tastes. (to each their fancy). and the clean tone never got loud enough without breaking up (I wanted to use the amps as a platform ...

Re: Anyone Use A True Bypass Looper?
something people forget about these bypass strips - make yourself mini chains of things you use together! there's no point in having a loop with just 1 pedal. use it to supplement your setup, don't fret about having to still turn on/off your pedals directly. A bypass strip should not be a catchall t...

Re: Used NAD - Thunderverb 200 - new to Orange
When I had my TV200 I wouldn't dare push it into a single 240watt PPC412 cab.
nope.
So I ran it into two PPC412 cabs.

Re: OR80-120 RI's vs Vintage
I've had two 90's reissue and one of the transformers blew. The transformers in each one weren't exactly the same either. One that blew had thinner lead wires doubled up, the one that's ok has much thicker gauge wiring coming from the transformer.

Re: 100W head into 2x12: Safe?
i'd listen to Boy_Narf ^^^
to be safe with your speakers I'd keep a 2:1 ratio between speaker handling and amp watts.
I would NOT run a 100w tube head into a pair of V30
