Orange doesn't do metal? Yeah right. That's one of the craziest things anyone has ever said on this forum. That's like saying you cant play blues on a Strat. Almost any Orange amp can do metal especially Thunderverb 200, Rockerverb 100 and TH30.

I would say if you want density ala sleep, go with either the Thunderverb 200 or the OR100. If you want Torche like tones, get the TH 30 or Rockerverb 50/100. If you want Boris, buy one of everything Orange makes!

Those who are going to look at and buy a Mesa are not likely to do it at GC. Boutique amp places will have the amps you would want to A/B the Mesa against. Also Mesa has much better customer relations that are at a much higher level than GC can provide. I wonder if GC was becoming an embarrassment ...
