Re: Anyone built a Warmoth guitar?
Anyway, I've own a Warmoth or two and actually plan to be building a body in the next month or so for a new aluminum neck I just had custom built. You getting one of the Bastin necks? Yes! So stoked for it. Building a solid maple Jazzmaster body in Shoreline-Gold. Similar to the photo below, but go...

Re: Anyone built a Warmoth guitar?
You see an awful lot of ugly Warmoth's, especially on the used market. I think this has somewhat given Warmoth a bad image for people. However, it's certainly not their fault but rather the fault of people with horrible taste and not knowing what they want in a guitar to be permitted to built fully ...

Re: P90 fans for lp jr
I exclusively only play P90's in all of my guitars now. I've tried several over the years and have settled on the Bare Knuckle BLUE NOTE 90 as my personal favorite. 7.5K output with Alnico II magnets. It's slightly under-wound, so it has more clarity and sweeter high-end, yet is still very full soun...

Re: This a neat pedal for single channel amps
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4xQpLBLS8M&x-yt-ts=1422579428&x-yt-cl=85114404 Horrible demo. The guy goes from playing hard power chords, to really gentle finger picking when he turns on the pedal. It also appears he changes pickups on his guitar when he turns on/off the pedal. Not a good way to ...

Re: 90's OD120
Loved my 90's era OR120 more than any other Orange I've ever owned. Traded it for a way more expensive amp though, so I had to let it go. Fantastic platform for fuzz pedals, I found. Worth playing loud and cranked into a 4x12.

"these amps were notoriously easy to break" Yeah... prone to failure, so that's why I'm charging 10k for it. Hahaha

Re: Rocker 30 Combo or Head?
Is your cab 16 ohms however, to be able to connect up as a second speaker on the Rocker combo? And no, there's no issue with tubes being mounted upside-down really. Tons of amps have been built this way for several decades. Some people do say that the tubes in a combo being mounted by the speakers v...

Re: TANGLE-FREE TWISTER CABLES
I've had so much bad luck with cables failing, and it's always where the cable goes into the connector. I started using long coil cables and that really helped the problem, along with the cable getting too twisted. ANY moving parts, regardless how well designed and high quality, is prone to higher c...

Re: Rocker 30 not outputting at full power?
Running the Master Volume on FULL, and using the Gain as your volume is a great way to make an amp sound amazing, but also the quickest way to wear it out... mainly the power tubes, but certainly over stuff too.
You need a higher wattage amp, from the sounds of it.

Re: NGD - for bird lovers
Always had a deep love for the Firebirds. Didn't even know they were still making them in this configuration anymore. Super hot! Here is a photo of my Firebird V from 1963. Very similar, expect for the huge tailpiece. I love how it plays and sounds, but it rarely gets used since I've been so in love...

Re: Is this just another marketing Gimmick!!!
I have one of these for my Orange AD200. Does it change the tone in any way... no. However, the quality of the cable and ends is very nice and heavy duty. Certainly will last a lifetime. Also nice to see which cable is yours on a dark stage. when you're unplugging stuff. If you're someone that obses...

Re: Best amp to complete my collection - please vote!
Asking which Orange next when you've already have or had just about every one is just redundant. It's like asking which Coke should you drink... Coca Cola, Diet Coke, Coca Cola Zero, Mexican Coke, Caffeine Free Coke... it's really just all Coke, at least when you have a Dr. Pepper or Sprit next to i...

You ain't gonna stop until you own or have owned every single amp in the Orange line, regardless of several of them covering the same ground tonally as each other. So why even ask? Haha
Try something different. Matchless, Divided By 13, Fargen, Dr. Z, 65 Amps, etc...
