It's Been a Minute! New Gear Galore.....

Hi all! got some new toys to play with on the road, as I don't like lugging the OR80r around as much as I used to(anyone want it?) Custom Tyler Amp - Man, if you're in the Jersey area you probably already know about the work John Britton does. Got my hands on a Blues Breaker clone he custom made, an...

Re: Help choose my next amp !

Might want to look into a Friedman Runt 20. Nails the JCM tones, has a boost, and a really underrated clean tone.

NAD NGD NPD

It's been a minute!!! Just got an OR15 for 380$ shipped and it's been slaying!!! Voiced similar to cranking the OR80r, but just a tad more practical. Also whimm'ed on a 2000 Les Paul Classic 60' sorta reissue. Looks unplayed. $1100 with original combo lock case. Final was a Caline reverb pedal. Neat...

Re: Finally Found It!!!!

Yeah I had the same fears, especially with DOD not being exactly a boutique company. I was very very very impressed to say the least

Finally Found It!!!!

I have been searching for the right pedal to push my OR80 at reasonable levels. I have been using my OCD, but it doesn't get me dirty enough for my young loud musical tastes. I went through a Swollen Pickle, Box of Rock, Pro Co Rat, and EHX Soulfood with no success. I like it to sound like a fuzz an...

1967 SG jr. into mid 70's or80 reverb combo. I was negative 17 when my guitar was made. Never really thought of it like that before!

Drool. Where was this scored from? This setup is way to impractical, you should barter it for a nice 1975 OR80r 212 combo with reverb. ;)

Re: Dual amp setup? Only cool in my head?

I found it works great with opposite tones. Like I'll have my AD30 set very warm on the bottom, then or80 very chimey on top and you can really feel the whole spectrum that way! One of my favorite combos was tiny terror+ac30.

When I did Tiny terror and ad30 I felt like it wasn't really worth it.

Re: NGD!

Always liked those Mascis Jazzmasters. The pickups in Jazzmasters are specific to that guitar, despite people thinking they are P90's... they are not, and despite their large size, they are rather low output but have a unique and killer sound. I'd play it for awhile before swapping pickups right aw...

NGD!

Big thanks to bclaire who helped me dodge a bullet with a 1962 Jazzmaster that I got from eBay. He also mailed me a spare truss rod nut the very next day when he saw I was missing one. Good people, wish there were more like him! The truss rod was stripped at the end and although the neck was nice an...

Re: NAD!!!

Alright, so I'm a little disappointed in the reverb. It sounds great without overdrive but then get really lost with gain and with my OCD. Amp sounds great though with the gain cranked and the OCD full volume and no gain. Sounds even better paired with my 412ppc with vintage 30's. I'm going to put i...

Yeah you don't see many of them kicking around on craigslist or on eBay too much.
