Re: Pedalboard power options
Small but option rich is the Voodoolabs Iso 5. In case you ever switch to a higher voltage/mA pedal in the future, you will still have the option of using the same power source. Love mine.

Re: Quick help please
OK, So I checked the HT fuses to make sure they were closed and they checked out on the meter so I started pulling tubes and the #3 had some broken connections in the base of the tube and it was slightly blackened on one side of the glass. Still not sure why the fast blow fuse did not blow but I am ...

Re: Quick help please
I am sure the gentleman knows his amps very well but this sounds crazy to someone who is unfamiliar with how they work. Please comment whether this is crazy or sounds about right. I was told to remove all the power tubes and switch the amp on into standby. If it pops again then the transformer is ba...

Re: Quick help please
Well it is what it is I guess. That's the price for having tube goodness. 1 more question. Since I was switching it on to half power, which only uses the 2 outside tubes, does that mean that it is 1 of those 2 that are most likely failing or could it also be one of the others that are not in the path?

Re: Quick help please
Thanks. Yup, main fuse dead. Now it will power up on standby. All the power tubes still glow on standby, but I'm going to check again later and make sure the rest of the tubes are glowing. Could it just be a faulty fuse or is that an extremely rare thing and it is most likely a tube issue as you hav...

Quick help please
Warmed up my amp on standby as normal, switched it on, heard a hum then a pop and then it went dead. Won't power up at all now. No sparks, no smoke, no smell when it happened. Fuse or tube maybe?

Re: Anybody have the BAT Black Forest?
I have the OR15 and the BAT BFO sounds great. Depending on the depth setting and drive you can get stoner sound or overdrive. It really is a great pedal. I use it to push the amp when its set kinda dirty and it makes it thick and fuzzy without getting fizzy.

Re: If You Could Only Use Three Pedals...
Boss OD-2r because its one of the best OD pedals I've used. It does light bare break-up to all out dist. Line 6 M9 because I use too many FX like vibe, phase, rev, oct, etc TC Alter Ego X4 because I love delay and use many different types If tuners count then I would get rid of the OD-2r because my ...

Re: Pedals/pedal board...seeking advise.
And again...thanks to everyone for the advise. So based on the information I got from all of your responses this is what I am going to do: I am going to get a good power supply. I am also going to keep my Boss ME-50. For what I do, I think the advantages outweigh the negatives. I am also going to k...

Thanks for the replies all. Now I have a few pedals added to my list to try and some that I probably never will.

Re: NPD: EHX Deluxe Big Muff
Congrats on the new pedal. I had the same experience with muff pedals so I finally went out and bought a Mojo Hand Colossus which is a darker muff with a mids control. Its a great pedal. I'm glad EHX finally listened to what people have been saying for years. If they could make the enclosure just a ...

Re: Best bang for buck pedals
I don't know anyone that does it as a service. Its not hard to do if your familiar with soldering/building. In your case I'd consider getting the Boss version used or something when you consider how much it might cost to get it done. There are a few companies who do this. Usually the mod companies ...

Re: Best bang for buck pedals
I have the Behringer Ultra Shifter Harmonist US600. Its a great pedal for getting that octave down bass tone. I tried to get it rehoused once but instead of just saying that they couldn't do it I got the, "it's so cheap that you should just buy a spare in case this one breaks". Yeah, that wasn't the...
