Re: Run Dual Terror with PPC412HD8 + PPC212CB

Would a standard 1/4 —> 1/8 headphone adapter work for this purpose? or would the tip and sleeve need to be connected/shorted? That should work. It doesn't matter whether the tip and sleeve are connected. Once a second plug is inserted those two speakers are removed from the circuit. You can leave ...

YES

Plug each of the 16 ohm cabs into the 8 ohm outputs and you will be fine
You need to read the post again. He doesn't have two 16 ohm cabinets. Nice job editing my comment with your incorrect advice....

Re: Run Dual Terror with PPC412HD8 + PPC212CB

Would re-wiring the PPC412 from parallel to serial (or vise versa, whatever the opposite of how its wired now / or however the regular PPC412 is wired) give me a mono 16ohm load instead of the current mono 8ohm load? or is it solely the difference in the impedance of the v30s vs the G12Ks (i haven'...

You'll have to measure the lead spacing to find the right part. It's a dual ganged 500KA.
It's probably a standard 16mm PC mount spacing. Shaft length is important too... :P

Re: Gain potentiometer Tiny Terror

Have fun replacing one of those dual pots. If your TT is the same as my AD15, the solder is on the same side of the PC board as the pots (instead of on the back side). When I replaced my master pot it was a huge PITA to get the old one off and then I overheated and damaged the new one trying to sold...

It feels quite rude of me, after the mighty effort the spammers have put in, to not be able to read what they're spamming about because it's in Chinese.
Google's translator works pretty well. They were selling fake diplomas to US colleges.

My guess is that the connection fails on the splicer on V5 - otherwise both EL34 would warm up.

It could be something totally different of course.
Looks like your diagnosis is spot on to me.

Re: RV50H MKII Problems (Long story)

It's within the realm of possibility that the magnetic polarity of one of the speakers could be reversed. It's also possible one of the speakers is dead. (In series/parallel, a dead speaker will silence its paired speaker too, but the paired speaker may still be healthy.) So a 9v battery test is ca...

Re: RV50H MKII Problems (Long story)

White wire from jack goes to speaker 1's positive. Speaker 1's negative goes to speaker 2's positive. Speaker 2's negative goes to the black-stripe jack wire. (Top pair in series.) Parallel white goes from speaker 1's positive to speaker 3's positive. Speaker 3's negative goes to speaker 4's positi...
