I too am flying bit skeptical about the amps in a box. I mean itd be hard to fit two custom 100 watt hiwatts into a 6x6box box...
But I am just so curious about it. The vids ive seen looking somewhat convincing. But the OCD just looks like it has stood the testament of time.

Re: Catalinbread RAH and Fulltone OCD
Hey man, Yeah I probably should've clarified how I intend to use these pedals. I would use them through the CLEAN part of the amp. And probably use guitars half volume for rhythm and full on vol for lead. I live the MKII dirty channel and usually leave that alone. The RAH sounds a bit thinner than t...

Catalinbread RAH and Fulltone OCD
Hey guys, I have a RV50 MKII head and PPC212 cab. Looking to get both of those pedals. Anyone have experience with either? Not sure how they get along with my RV. I'm not in a area that has either pedal to try first, and most of you here have unbiased professional opinions. I understand both are ver...

Re: 9 gauge strings on my Les Paul
To be honest even after all my yrs playing I just dont have as much control on the 10s. Thats funny about Angus and Malcom. I know BB king picked up Billy Gibs guitar and asked "why you trying so hard?" BB played onn 8s and 9s. Havent gotten much into the drop tuning...except for moby dongle-narf an...

Hey Mr. Page himself played on 8s for most of his time in zeppelin.

9 gauge strings on my Les Paul
So I just recently got my guitar setup and told them to re intonate it and put 9 gauge strings on it. Ive read and heard that it was considerably easier to play without much reduction in tone and sustain. when I got it bacck the action was sooo nice and overall just so much easier to bend. Vibrato i...

Re: Orange Content: Graveyard - Lights Out (2012) Released T
Graveyard is awesome. I really like the Sword too...somewhat in that genre/stoner metal. Graveyards sound is more unique in their own right though. Also if anyone is in the NYC area the sword is playing NOV 14. I know the guitarist used to used the RV 100 live for a while.

JMI Zonk Machine
So Wednesday day I just picked up this bad boy. Only 20 of them were ever made, based on the Tone Bender MKI. However, this has one different transistor, the OC 44 NOS. It acts more of a trebly overdrive rather than all out fuzz. Much less the the 81s used in the professional MKII. I am writing this...

Re: Where to go after pentatonic scales?
Great post. I 100%just agree with les paul lover. Harmonic just souunds cool. What about pentatonic major scale? Page used to "battle" himself in solos by switching back and forth between major and minor pentatonic. For major pentatonic juust move back three frets from the first posistion of the min...

Re: The best tough decision ever
The Dr. Z's are a bit chimey...fender clean with voxey ice pickeyness. The Dr. Z remedy is sweet though, 6V6's, breaks up sweet like a plexi...just not as loud, and takes pedals great! But no loop. I second the LP R9 or R7. Just not a 2012...baked maple fret boards instead of rosewood. Id look for a...

Re: Favorite settings on Your MKII Rockerverb!!
Nice man I'll tweak my amp to those settings. I'm excited to blast my volume and keep my gain a little lower. I live in apartment and surrounded by toddlers, so I try and respect nap time.

Re: Help me determine my next Orange
I can only give you a honest assessment between the rocker and rockerverb 50. They are similar in the fact that they are both voiced for the vintage 30 speaker, both have a clean and dirty channel, and are also powered by two el34s. The difference is that one is 50 watts vs 30 (headroom), rockerverb...

Re: Help me determine my next Orange
Hey I was in the market of amps for Page tones as well....I really liked his tone with the Blackcrowes. I got the Rockerverb 50 MKII because of a great crunch, versatility, and the fact that it really does sound good on low volumes. Set gain around 1230 or 1 o'clock with the volume opened up around ...
