Re: WHAT AMP OR GEAR "SHOULD" ORANGE MAKE ACCORDING TO YOU?

Maybe a modeling amp, like the Fender Cyber Twin...but seriously all I want from them is a 2x12 vertical cab, and a factory in Australia so I can afford Orange again :(

Re: Rocker 30 Fuse question

Oh God I feel like such an idiot. I thought the switch was for 120/230v, like my other stuff. It's not. It's a 100/120v switch. This is stupid. I would have never brought this head overseas if I knew I would need it to be rewired. Oh well. Anyone know any good techs in the Sydney area?

120/230v switch?

Thanks for the help with the fuses, but a guy here in Oz who works extensively with electronics was able to point me to a supplier that had the fuses I needed. Time-delay, 2 amp, high-breaking ceramic fuses :) . I guess the only thing now is if someone could confirm if I could simply flip the switch...

Re: Rocker 30 Fuse question

Well my amp has a physical switch on it for 120/230v, wouldn't that change it from serial to parallel internally without me needing it rewired? I have other pieces of gear with the same switch that are currently working here.

Rocker 30 Fuse question

Hey everyone, I just relocated from New York to Sydney, Australia and I brought my rocker 30 head with me. When it was running in the states on 120v it was using a T5AH ceramic fuse, and the manual specifies to switch to a T2AH fuse if you plan on operating it on 230v overseas. Unfortunately I've Be...

Re: Rocker 30 help!

I had a similar situation. I could have kept both my Rocker 30 and Thunder 30 heads and never been able to afford a Vox AC30, or I could have sold the Orange that I didn't absolutely love and be in British invasion glory. Naturally, the Thunder 30 was out of my life pretty quickly. I personally love...

Isn't the 1960a a 300w cabinet? Run that bad boy on full power!

Re: Idea for a Rocker 30 mod, would this work?

I keep my natural channel at 3PM with my telecaster and use it as a really badass slightly overdriven channel. I can adjust my picking or take the volume pot down just a bit if I want a cleaner sound, I LOVE the natural channel.

Re: Tiny Terror is not so Orange !

There is no way lighting could have affected the color like that. The orange in the voice of the world seal is still orange. It's more likely that RAT repainted that part as some sort of signature for their mod, much in the same way Keeley will replace the red LED indicator in a Boss pedal with a bl...

Re: Rockerverb Retirement ?

I need that 120/240v switch for when I move to Australia you can change the voltage setting internally by moving a couple of wires. The switch would be easier I know but if you want to keep the TH30 when you move its a simple mod. Yeah I remember reading about that ability on these forums when I fi...

Re: Rockerverb Retirement ?

I made my first Orange purchase a few months ago when I got the TH30 and a matching 2x12. I love everything about the way this amp sounds, and it satisfies most of my tone desires. I will say however that there are some clear differences in build quality from my British made cab, and other UK built ...

Re: TH30 Power Supply

I'm waiting for my TH30 to be delivered on Wednesday, but this topic is very relevant for me. I currently live in the USA but am potentially moving to Australia in July and was wondering if anyone has discovered whether or not switching from 110v to 220v only requires a resoldering of the transforme...

Wooden slats on 2x12 and live-in road case?

Hey everyone, I've been in the process of upgrading my rig from Mesa Boogie to Orange and just picked up my 2x12 closed back cabinet (still waiting on my dual rectifier to sell before I can afford a TH30 :( ). Very excited about the cab, actually gave my mesa a little bit of character, but obviously...
