Re: Need advice - Dark Terror or TH30?
Thanks everyone! I pulled the trigger on a TH30 and received it yesterday (got a great deal!). It may just be the honeymoon period talking but it is by far the best amp I've played through. As so many have said, the clean channel is absolutely unbelievable. It's super warm, thick, and clear. As for ...

Need advice - Dark Terror or TH30?
I need some advice. I am a bedroom guitar player and I'm having trouble deciding between the Dark Terror and the TH30 Head. I have the money for a Dark Terror now but I'm not sure if I should hold off and get the TH30 instead. I've played the Dark Terror before and loved it, but I haven't been able ...

Re: Tiny Terror Combo Issue
Well, wouldn't you know; I came home and fired up the amp and it is deathly quiet again. The only thing I can think of that I did different was I let the tubes heat up longer than usual.Randy Bass wrote:I would first try a new cable. Then I'd check out the input jack on the TT (or have a tech do it).

Tiny Terror Combo Issue
My Tiny Terror Combo has developed a buzz, but the strange thing is that when I place my hand on my guitar's bridge the buzz goes away. I thought at first it might be the guitar, so I tried all three of my electric guitars and they all had the same result. Then I took the pedal board out of the chai...

Re: Orange Combo Amp Question
I think you should biamp the Tiny Terror combo with an AC15 to get your two channels. That would be a great rig if you don't mind making an extra trip. That is actually a fantastic idea! I was looking at Vox amps before I got my Orange. Of course, that route leads to another question: Anyone know o...

Re: Orange Combo Amp Question
Will the 30 watts of the Rocker 30 be too much for bedroom levels? That's one thing I love about the 15/7 Watt TT.

Re: Orange Combo Amp Question
out of interest, why the need for a 2 channel amp? I play a lot of songs that require clean segments and dirty segments. I absolutely love the clean and dirty sounds of the Tiny Terror combo, but I'm not able to switch between the two mid-song without walking over to the amp and altering the contro...

Orange Combo Amp Question
I currently own a Tiny Terror combo and I absolutely love it. However, I really need a combo amp with two channels. I was looking at the TH30 Combo and I'd like to get some input. Would the TH30 be able to mimic the Tiny Terror clean and dirty sounds? Some of the TH30 youtube videos sound good and o...

Re: Orange PPC112 or...?
I got the PPC112 and I absolutely love it! It actually does sound quieter, and even my wife agrees. :D The cab produces a lot less bass than the 2x12, so it doesn't push as much air or rattle the windows. Also, the sound seems much more crisp to me, which is odd since I used to have a 2x12 with Vint...

Re: Orange PPC112 or...?
Thanks everybody for your help. I'm leaning toward either the PPC112 or an Avatar. I used to own an Avatar 2x12 Contemporary but for some reason the sensitivity seemed off compared to my friend's Marshall cab using the same G12H30 speakers. I wish the PPC112 came with a conversion board to make it e...

Just out of curiosity, do you remember what the price was? I've been waiting for HELLO Music to list a PPC112 and I'm just curious if the discount is worth the wait.agreatheight wrote:So I saw an amazing deal on HELLO music for an Orange 1x12 (PPC112)

Orange PPC112 or...?
I'm a guitar hobbyist who plays around the house, so I was thinking about picking up a 1x12 to go with my Dual Terror. I had a 2x12 for a short period but it was a little too much for the wife to bear. The logical choice is the Orange PPC112, but I just wanted to see if you guys have any othe...

Haha! And good point about the tubes.OrangePaul wrote:If you can afford two Les Paul Customs surely a spare set of tubes isn't going to break the bank
Even if it turns out it isn't tubes, having a spare set to hand is always a good idea.

Was your static issue doing what I've described? Also, if you have your volume at 9 o'clock, how far can you turn your gain on either channel before you get gain-buzz?
