I can hear my amp with no cabinet

I use a loadbox for recording (amp -> 8 ohm loadbox -> xlr to my interface) and it's normally ideal for silent recording. Today though I noticed that I can hear the guitar signal in the amp. It sounds buzzy. Is this normal? Am I breaking the amp?

Speaker cable fell out of my Rockerverb

I was moving my cabinet around at a rehearsal and the speaker cable fell out whilst my Rockerverb 100 was on standby. Re: PPC212 or OB

That's what I thought. I'm not too fussed about the sound spreading, I'm more concerned about the low end. I do play metal (Rockerverb 100) but it's more like sludgy metal, e.g. Mastodon etc.

Which one would be better for recording in a smallish (3m x 3m) room?

Rockerverb 100 MKII and PPC212

I've just ordered a Rockerverb 100 MKII and I went for the closed back PPC212 to go with it. It's going to take a while before I receive it, so I'm looking at getting any accessories I'll need. This is my first separate amp and cabinet so I have no idea how to connect them. I'm assuming I need a spe...
