Re: Talk me out of selling my Rocker 30 to go Fuchs
Personally... I'd do it. I had a Rocker-30 for awhile. Sounded good for what it was, but that's kinda all it was. It really didn't move me all that much or have any unique personality to it. Sold it, and picked up a Fargen Epic-30 and honestly so happy I did. Although much more simple of an amp, it...

Re: Talk me out of selling my Rocker 30 to go Fuchs
Semi-on topic....saw the guitarist for the Zac Brown Band prior to the Daytona 500 with a rack setup - two Fuchs heads (I'm not familiar with their models) and probably a tuner and some outboard gear. Believe me I'm not a fan....I detect some serious hackery going on at times but McDonald's don't c...

Re: Talk me out of selling my Rocker 30 to go Fuchs
Be careful you don't Fuchs up and make the wrong decision... HA! no need to worry now. I have been thinking also to make a move to 2x12 cab to use with the R30. I have two 1x15's, keep one as a spare; one is semi open back cab that is actually an oversized Glaswerks 1x12 cab that was ordered with a...

Re: Talk me out of selling my Rocker 30 to go Fuchs
I decided that I could fix my Trainwreck fetish in a more affordable way by simply using my old Musicman combo and getting one of those "amp in a pedal" jobs. That way i can keep the orange and still satisfy the fetish, and a more affordable route.

Re: Talk me out of selling my Rocker 30 to go Fuchs
I've bought and sold so many amps. I've owned all kinds of classic amps (Marshall, Vox, custom shop Orange, Fender, Magnatone, Ampeg, Kustom, etc). Once I moved to the R30 I felt I'd found my personal sound and sold everything except an Ampeg Gemini II because I really like the amp's reverb and it'...

Re: Talk me out of selling my Rocker 30 to go Fuchs
Too bad you can't justify having both. Can't you just sell the sofa and use some crates and cushions instead? Andy. HA! Well I finally paid off my GAS-induced major debt and now if I cannot trade or sell/buy breaking even, I cannot justify having the gear. Call it "fiscally responsible GAS" . Fair ...

Ronnie Robinson wrote:But surely your only going to get about 300 for the Rocker...its not going to make much of a dent in the price of the Fuchs
HA! unfortunately they would be about the same price. Found some good deals on the Fuchs.

Re: Talk me out of selling my Rocker 30 to go Fuchs
No, don't do it. (Thats me talking you out of it),Actually kind of sounds like you've made up your mind. For sure the Fuchs will be a great amp, but, be sure you won't regret giving up the Rocker. Play the new amp before you buy it in depth to make sure it's going to do what you like and the Rocker...

Re: Talk me out of selling my Rocker 30 to go Fuchs
Yeah, a loud wreck style amp. It will take pedals well, be incredibly touch sensitive, and dare I say, superior build quality.irish_admiral wrote:Do you know what you're getting with the Fuchs?

Talk me out of selling my Rocker 30 to go Fuchs
Been on a "wreck style" amp kick of late. I cannot justify having two heads, so I have been thinking about leaving the Orange family, selling my Rocker 30, to fund the purchase of a Fuchs Train 45. People who know me well are trying to talk me out of it (they of course do not know what trainwreck am...

Re: Guitar Head through 15" Cab
Joe Perry uses 15 inch speakers. As does Chris Duarte. I do as well. Rocker 30 into a 1x15 cab with an Eminence Big Ben. The tone is pretty darn good.
