Re: just for fun- Does anyone (else) name their Amps and Axe

I don't have name's for my amps or pedals but I do name my guitars after the actresses that play Charlies Angels!

Fender Tele US (3Burst) - Lucy
Gibson Les Paul Std (Honeyburst) – Cameron
Fender Kurt Cobain Mustang (Sonic Blue) - Drew
Fender Kurt Cobain Jaguar – Demi

Re: Helpful salesman or opinionated musician?

He said something that pissed her off and she starts screaming at him about 6 inches from his face. He never changed his expression as he gets up and slowly walks into the kitchen. She maintains her 6 inch distance the whole time. He goes into the cupboard and pulls out a bowl and a can of soup. Pl...

Re: "I regret I sold this..."

I've only sold two guitars, a Taylor big baby acoustic that sounded fantastic, but I never picked her up as I didnt feel comfortable playing her and the other was a POS Dean ML '79 reissue that I bought in a sale when I decided I was going to learn to play guitar and I didn't want to spend too much ...

Na, he just likes different things.

As a son, you'd have to rebel and hate it if it showed any sign of approval!!

Re: Pedal Train Volto. Anyone Using One Of These?

What about plugging it in while playing live? do you always rely on the batteries? I would most likely plug it in every time I play. I think most people are buying this for the "cordless" factor, where as I am interested for space saving reasons. I've never tried to run it whilst charging, kinda de...

Re: Pedal Train Volto. Anyone Using One Of These?

Yes I have one. :? I had one of the original batches and it stopped holding a charge and then stopped charging at all after 3 months of light use. I returned it for a refund which was denied and it was replaced. The new one is a lot better but my main problem is that it is not predictable. Sometimes...

Re: So I replaced some cables today...

The subject of tiny improvements in tone that most audiences won't even notice is something I've been pondering a lot lately. It's easy to forget that the things we stress over and spend hundreds of dollars on aren't even detectable to the average non-musician, or even less attuned ones. But, that ...

Re: R30C or R30H?

I used to have a TT combo and I replaced it with a TT head and a PPC-112. My main reason was that I could try different heads through a single cab and the heads are easier to store than bulky combos. I don't gig, but when going to practice I preferred my TT combo to the head/cab for transportation a...

Re: Strymon Flint

I'd like to clarify about the Volto. I pre-ordered it before the specs were fully disclosed. It did power the Flint without issues but running with another 3 pedals drained it in about 2 hours (when new). Over time the Volto became unreliable drainining its charge from any time 1 hour to 3 hours wit...

Re: Strymon Flint

I've a Flint. Bullet proof construction, great sound (well not when I'm playing through it!) but quite a large power draw if you are running it through a baord mounted battery (I had it connected to a Pedaltrain Volto - Which has since been returned faulty [avoid!]). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k...

Re: OR15 head

I've the MP Sweet honey overdrive which works well on pushing the amp but I wouldnt say it really colours or masks the amp's natural sound.
