Re: Bose L1 compact for gigs

I have the compact too! I worked in a Bose retail store here in the UK for a year and got a pretty good deal on it to say the least! I've used it mainly for a P.a and bass amp at band practices so far and as I'm 18, a few house parties too  Enjoy it, it's a fantastic bit of kit!

Re: Green Day Rig Rundown

I've got the single cut BJA junior with the H-90 in, despite being marketed as hum-cancelling, it buzzes more than my tele! Although i'm used to buzz and have a noise gate to tame it. I wouldn't be able to comment on how good it sounds compared to other p-90s as it's the only one i've ever played. I...

Re: sheraton

I have a Dot, and the build quality and finish on that is remarkable. The pickups can be a bit muddy sounding, though i can live with that. I will assume the Sheratons are fairly similar or can only be better.

Re: All Time Best Bang for the Buck pedals?

Mooer Hustle Drive, cost me £50 on Denmark Street, gives a lush, subtle drive on the clean channel of my th30, making a welcome change from the fizzy drive channel. Also, my Behringer Reverb Machine, cost £30, the shimmer/space effect is spot on and I have used it on TOO many song intros/outros and ...

NGD!

Ok, so this was actually delivered yesterday but spent so long playing it i never got around to posting a pic. I've wanted this for sooo long. It's a Gibson Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior, (spare me any green day hate), plays like a dream, built well, sounds like a monster. If you can't do it ...

Re: Fender pushing prices?!

Yeh i've seen the gibson reductions and am surprised fender haven't retaliated with some knockdowns of their own. At the moment i'm looking at the Simon Neil squier and having a fun project for the next few months to upgrade and 'maybe' relic. OR getting the 60's road worn model and having my perfec...

Re: Performing with laptop live?!

Cheers for the replies guys,

I do have an interface but it only has the same 3.5mm stereo jack that the laptop has anyway.

I've seen a 3.5mm cable that splits into two 1/4'' jacks, might just plan on using that with D.I boxes to get into a desk.

Fender pushing prices?!

So whilst shopping for a new strat i've noticed that almost every dealer has their fenders pushed very close to their RRP. Some being quite a few bob more than i know i've seen them going for in the last 6 months or so. Is this something permanent that's being caused by the current economic situatio...

Performing with laptop live?!

Hi guys, looking for some advice. I got a MacBook Pro a few weeks back and have been using the mainstage software with a midi keyboard and loving the sounds and have started adding keys/synth parts to our songs at band practices. My questions are how do i manage this when it comes to performing live...

I went to the GAY BAR last night.

So I was enjoying a nice day in, trying to avoid my TH30 in an effort to prepare for all my exams in January. Then the drummer calls...my immediate assumption was that he had broken something, obviously. But to my surprise the local o2 Academy had given us a hasty phone call asking if we want a last...

I've just started a weekend job at Bose and would definitely recommend their IE2's!
