Orange also seems to be going astray from it's philosophy of simple designs, in an effort to make Swiss Army Knife amps like the OR100H. A certain market will segment will always demand feature-packed gizmo amplification, but appeasing that demographic puts the essence of Orange at stake, IMO.

Speakers have a huge effect on the amp feel too. Small magnet speakers (g12M or g1265) will make the amp much more spongy feeling than, say, V30s. Compressor is probably the best suggestion, though.
