Dual Terror question
I own a Boss Katana 100 2X12 combo and I still own and gigged with a Dual Terror in a loud hard rock band with a heavy handed drummer for years. I'm curious to know how you were running your Katana if it wasn't loud enough? Boss actually recommends running the master volume on full or close to it an...

Re: Getaway Driver as a direct solution
There's actually a whole bunch of youtube videos that show the cab sim, I know cause I've literally watched them all haha. Go to 12:30 of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QA3qdu5uvqU Or about the 9 minute mark of this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlhW-5Ph7Nc I own the pedal and lo...

Re: New Orange Pedal Day! Getaway Driver
I'll have to try one of those one day. What do you play it with? Do you still have your DT? Does it stack nicely with the amps own dirt? So far I've tried it with my Boss Katana 100 2X12 combo, Traynor YCS90 2X12 combo and Dual Terror with Orange PPC212OB. I've played with it for several hours now ...

New Orange Pedal Day! Getaway Driver
Just got the Getaway Driver pedal today and I was grinning as soon as I started playing through it. Wow, it sounds great!!! It's maybe the first pedal that I've played that claims to sound like a cranked tube amp and actually does. It's fat, punchy, responsive and has a really sweet high end in its ...

Re: Boss Angry Driver= GAS
Yeah, I wouldn't put much weight in a demo that doesn't compare different settings. The Angry Driver especially should have a wide range of available tones. Also hate when they only play leads and no rhythm. Better than nothing as a quick and dirty comparison I guess.

It's like they made this video just for me:
Boss Angry Driver vs. Orange Getaway Driver

They both sound good here, but I prefer the Getaway Driver in this video. Really can't wait to try this pedal.

Boss Angry Driver= GAS
Saw this today too... definitely piqued my interest since the JHS Angry Charlie is basically a rip-off of my favorite pedal, the MI Audio Super Crunch Box. The Boss Katana amps are amazing for the price/features, and the Blues Driver is one of my favorite boost pedals included with that amp, so they...

This is a pretty good demo of the different sounds you can get out of it.

New Orange Getaway Driver Pedal
I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to try this pedal at some point with my non-Orange amps. I'm really liking how it sounds in almost all of the demos I've heard so far. The fur coat seems pretty cool for a fuzz, but my real interest is in the getaway driver for more classic rock Orange crunch tones....

Thanks for offering your thoughts on this! It just kind of reinforced what I was already thinking but I still had my doubts.

OT: Being well rounded vs specialized as a musician
Off topic: After over 20 years of playing guitar, I seem to want to push myself in new directions lately. I just joined a band on bass even though I've hardly ever played the bass other than when recording demos, etc. I'm went from an SG to a strat, mainly bridge to mainly neck pickup and lowered my...

Anyone Here Using A Strat & Orange Amp?
After years of playing SG's through Orange amps, my favorite guitar through my Dual Terror + PPC212OB cab is a strat lately. Mostly on the neck pickup, gain around noon to 1 o'clock on the amp. I can get fairly clean with a little bit of grit if I pick lightly and more dirt when I dig in. It all dep...

Re: HNSGD to me!!!!
Love the feel of a faded Gibby. Real work horses. No need to be afraid bringing them out on the road either. Yours looks stunning. Congrats! :D They really are! I love how they feel. I've been a long time lover of satin necks, and I really the lesser finish makes for more lively guitar. Very nice S...

Re: Who's rockin the Pharoah?/fuzz questions
Just ordered the Pharoah fuzz here too! I was gonna get a Way Huge Swollen Pickle at first, but our local music store was out of stock. So I pulled the trigger on the Pharoah instead. I have a Pharaoh and a TV50, I dig em for the reasons you stated  Just wondering since I'm gonna be runnin...
