Re: I tried to like Orange

To answer the few who did not take my comments personally and in response offer cheap jibes or even feel the need to retreat to the man cave and drink beer, I have played and still play the generic guitars, strat, tele, sg and les paul through my Oranges. There is an ever present low end muddiness ...

Re: AD30 Graphics Only

I like the original graphics of the AD series, it was unique from other Orange products, clean, and managed to not look cramped with 10 knobs together in a pretty small area. I thought it looked bad when they "updated" it the first time with the modern graphics and I think it would look similarly ba...

Re: AD30 owner gasing on cr120H

For what you want to play I’ve never seen or heard anyone using an AD30. They’re not voiced that way at all. This is not true. The lower gain, definition in the mids, and loose feel due to the tube rectifier make it an excellent choice for this type of music. It's one of the most versatile sounding...

Re: Live and in Action - Original Orange Rocker vs. Rocker 15.....

The Rocker 15 Combo is $800 and Made in China while the Rocker 30 Combo was $1,600 and Made in England. Not disputing anything you said, just pointing out that these had very different prices to match the differences in sound/construction. Used prices on R30 Combos are usually around half of what th...

Re: Two brand new Orange Rocker-32 Amps died in VERY short time

The first that was unboxed had the speaker grill pushed in. The second that was unboxed had mold or dirt on the side. One of the guys at the store cleaned off the dirt - and since the dirty amp didn’t have a pushed in grill cloth I took that one home. I would never accept an amp that had a kicked i...

Re: Crush Pro 412 vs PPC 412

Yeah it's the same size as the PPC 4x12 Compact and a few inches smaller all around than the regular 4x12.

Re: Crush Pro 412 vs PPC 412

Or maybe (and this is crazy, I know) people in bedrooms are just happy with their $90 Fender bedroom amps. I had a look and the Crush 4x12 has 5 reviews on Sweetwater. It's a speaker cabinet, it's a wood box with speakers in it. It's really not hard for me to believe that 5 people bought it and thou...

Re: Orange Customer Service

I must say though..... with Orange being the actual manufacturer of the back panel, I'm surprised they couldn't send you a new one- except for safety concerns regarding the speaker to output jacks wiring. I assume it must have been that. It's probably because it was a third-party sale. They sent me...

Re: It appears they’ve brought back OMEC

maybe there is something i am missing as to why it is 16bit and not 24bit? Latency. 24/96 requires more than triple the bandwidth of 16/44, and even 24/44 (which i've never heard of anyone doing) still doubles the overhead. The Transport is advertised as an extremely low latency device. 16/44 has b...

Re: It appears they’ve brought back OMEC

I get that it's a digital/ analog converter, but I don't quite understand its application. What would this be used for? They explain that in the video. It's an audio interface that can both recieve singles from your pedalboard and send them to your computer for processing (in a DAW, for example) or...
