Have a Rocker 32 I bought new a few months ago. I've ignored this problem up until now but would like to take the proper time to fix it.
The clean channel volume knob creates incredibly loud scratching / popping noises and jumps in volume. Between 0 - 4 it hops around between unusably loud and then seems to level out after the four position. Usually end up just leaving it a little too loud and toning down with pedal volume controls.
I'm still pretty new to amp maintenance but in my research it sounds like I should clean the volume pot?
Is this something that would be better off sent back as it was brand new with this issue, or is it a pretty standard problem?

I had the same problem on my AD15's gain pot. It was a bad pot. PITA to replace. Send it back if it's still under warranty.

Sounds like a dodgy pot. I'd take it back and take advantage of the warranty.
However, you could try giving it a cleaning. DON'T use contact cleaner and make sure you use a cleaner with a lubricant. I use Deoxit Faderlube and it works very well.
