Orange Terror Bass DI Out (Pre/Post) does it work on Standby

hello. anyone with an orange terror bass head or combo. does the DI work when the amp is in standby? also does the master volume control affect the level/sound/tone of the DI? or is it pre-master?

trying to see if i can use it (will be connected to a speaker load no worries there) silently at night to plug into my mixer to rehearse in headphones. having that tone would be nicer than just a plan DI box.

key thing is either DI working in Standby or it's Pre-master so i can have the amp on and just master at 0 so no noise comes out but DI still sends signal.

help?

Maybe try contacting Orange themselves?

Failing that the Bax Bangeetar might be a slightly cheaper alternative. (Only slightly though!

It's solid state so you don't have to have a speaker load connected. Just turn it on and plug into the DI.

bassdrop actually the manual states it must have a load.

someone on talkbass found the circuit diagram and it looks like the DI out is between the gain and Master volume so it's possible to have a signal out of the DI but not the speakers so i can practice late night in the mixer
