CR120H input overload

Post by liaztraht » Mon Jun 27, 2016 8:44 pm

Is it normal to get a bit of overload on these with a hard strum? I know the clean channel is supposed to get dirty, but a hard strum on a les paul with paf styled pickups seems to add grit that is different from the tone of the clean being over driven. I only notice it on the clean channel.
Thanks!

Could be your pickups. Have you tried this with a different guitar?

I have. Same result. I just ended up lowering my pickups and it solved most of it.
Doesn't help that I have always been heavy handed
