keep the variables to a minimum, use the same cabs and mic setup with both amps - swap the heads over. also, as others have said, a les paul's bridge pickup is a must!

them both being single channel amps, being sensitive to picking dynamics and the guitars volume knob is very important. if you find where on the gain knob you can feel a gain stage kick in, set it just before that, so when u pick harder, it goes into the next stage - showcase this!

they are both aimed at heavier music, maybe some active pickups too?

as other have said, maybe try and show where the amps sit inline with other oranges out there - the drk terror is similar to the th30 and the #4's similar to an rv?

It'd be nice to see how they compare, but not just in the high gain department.

I rarely have the gain up above 1/2 way up on my RV, and love to noodle bluesy stuff on it - the RV has a lot of warmth in its tone, it'd be nice to see that highlighted in the #4. It'd be nice to see how both those amps fare for non metal music. Can clean tones be obtained at all at volume, by lowering the guitars volume pot?

+1 on including the OR15 - having 3 15w 4 gain stages head on the market is a touch confusing.

I've seen kmlabs play with his dark terror twice now - it's a nice little beast alright. Very nice tones.

I agree with keeping things consistent as far as cabs/mics for both and keeping the effects to a minimum. Both rhythm and lead playing, not just noodling the whole way through. Humbuckers and single coils. No band tracks in the background unless you're gonna show both the amp alone and how it sounds in a mix too, then that would be ok.

The Dark terror is voiced using the same voicings as the Thunderverb series & #4 is voiced using the rockerverb series. Anyone wondering the Rockerverb is more of a naisily or narly sound the thunderverb is a very fat chugging sound.
Both sound great in their own way!
Or15 is more of a vintage rock sound compared tobthe other two

Thanks but you didn't need to resurrect a four year old thread. That's usually a spammer red flag.
