Cheers, I think it's time to go to a tech about it? Anyone know a good one in the County Durham area? What price should I be paying roughly ?

A good setup here is 50-60 US. You could probably get it done for $20 US if the action/intonation is already to your liking and all you need is a nut slot filed. Heck, my guy would probably do it for free.

I would definitely have the kneck scoped. Minute kneck adjustments fix most tuning issues on strats. Intonation is certainly relevant but won't do it if the kneck is out of whack.

Yeah, it's definitely worth it to have a proper setup done if you really like the guitar. A good tech/luthier would usually charge around $60 + strings in my kneck of the woulds.

my friend is the tech at GC. he's actually pretty good, and he doesn't charge much. $35 for a full setup, $75 if you want to dress your frets as well. last time i had a full setup and dressing on my tele, and it felt incredible.

Idk, locally here they are charging about $50 + strings for a setup. A fret dress cost more though, about 80-100.

Sometimes you get what you pay for. That's like $40 US. That's a very fair, if not low, price for a pro setup.
