Re: Dual Terror vs Rocker 30 vs Thunderverb

Duppy03 nice music! "Nothing Left to Lose" is my fav. For the style you play the rocker would be just fine. Dynamic and punchy. The clean and the dirty channel should provide great tones for your songs. However, the only trouble with the rocker would be the lack of the option to go "doomy" heavier (...

Re: Fretbuzz for dummies..

My hunch would be that your nut is cut too low or got grooved by string wear. Also, did you change to a lower string gauge lately? That could cause the low E to sit lower in the nut. +1 It's better to store your guitar in a good floor stand and not in a case (especially after playing). The end of t...

Re: Thunderverb 200 Volume Question..

Everything seems normal. On 100w it's utilizing one pair of tubes, it doesn't put the other pair out of power. As said before 200w is not much louder than 100w. Dual Rec comparison: TV produces thicker bass than dual rec. When you crank a dual rec (essential to make it sound nice IMO) it gets midran...

Re: Rory Gallagher - Tone is in the fingers

I admire Rory as a guitarist and as an artist too. His passion on stage, his attitude, his choices. I strongly believe his tone was coming straight from his personality. He lived for what he was doing - I bet everyone who had the chance to watch him perform live can testify that. One broken string i...

Re: New Thunderverb 200 on its way!!!

G12T-75s do sound great with thunderverb 200 IMO (especially on mid gain settings). I bet you will be surprised.

TV200 doesn't get along well with 2x12 cabs -they tend to choke on the bass frequencies (mid and highs are messed up).

PS: On 100w it can overdrive a 1960 Marshall cab to its limits.

Re: some say they are "The Beatles of Metal"

Well, personally, I enjoy both bands. I agree that a comparison is out of place not because one is great and the other is not. That's lame. Different eras, different achievements, different styles. I find it strange that people follow bands in a religious way and claim one is better than the other a...

Re: some say they are "The Beatles of Metal"

I think metallica are great composers. Their music has been deep and innovative. Along with other great groups they made metal part of mainstream culture.

But, comparing them to the beatles... can result to metallica joke threads like this one (best case senario).

A 19th century style duel would be great!

I'd rather watch a professional producer performing this stunt.

Re: TV 200 loop

I have also noticed a volume drop when I use the loop in mine. It has been that way since I got it.

However, it never bothered me since I usually plug an eq pedal in the loop.

Re: Strings Recommendation

Elixir lasted really long for me. In fact I still have them since I removed them as soon as I tried them. Worst sounding strings for my taste. Ernie Ball sound best to my ears (nickel plated 13s, 12s, 10s) but they don't last long. In the summer, I have to swap every week on my practice guitar (they...
