Re: New Pickup Day!
I kinda wish they'd do an MFD for the ASAT's. I love the MFD's with the G&L, but they only two companies that do MFD's (Rio & Nordstrom) aren't cheap and it'd be cool to try something else without blowing a couple hundred bucks (which I don't have).

so then, the XLR-1/4" is for balanced out to DI? do the speak-on jacks also accept 1/4" as an output?

Re: Best alternative to Schaller strap locks
Schallers here on every guitar I've ever owned - first thing I put on. I usually do the holes when I first mount'em though - glue + a few pieces of hardwood strips and tighten down the screw. I've had to redo a couple of them, but that's because I did a poor job in the first place. The rest have bee...

Re: Country music?...... On an Orange?
A buddy of mine plays in a country band (called the "Working Class") with a tele and an R30 and loves it. A Nork sighting :) ! How have you been? Well! Didn't think anyone remembered me 'round here. I've listened to some of the Working Class' stuff and it's pretty decent. Great little amp, I'd imag...

Re: Earphones... any head-fi type guys here?
hey - I'm just looking at this, and I'm looking for the same thing. I've sworn by SkullCandy's because they've been particularly decent and a little cheap to replace (20$ on ebay). But they're definitely not great, and they're starting to crap out. This looks like a good deal with the free Fedex and...

Re: I will stick with my orange
I'm possibly leaving the fold - after almost 5 years, I'm looking at an AC15C1. Don't get me wrong - the TT is killer, but I really want a combo, and I've always wanted an AC15. It's just time is all. If I played any sort of rock band though, I'd be into a Rocker 30 in a heartbeat. I LOVE that amp, ...

Re: shielding my ASAT...
Probably tape. Looking at the StewMac instructions and a dude over at TGP is helping me - he did his Bluesboy a cavity at a time and didn't take the whole thing apart, which is really appealing to me since I have jack all for soldering skills.
Just wondering how/where you ground the shield?

shielding my ASAT...
Hey guys - Finally looking into doing this - shielding my Tribute ASAT. Going to require some learning on my part - soldering (have done some, but not much) mainly, but I'm wondering if anyone has any resources? I've been reading the StewMac site for their walk through and are considering buying the...
