IEM Suggestion
Hey everyone, I have a friend that was looking for a good in ear monitor solution for singing. He had some cheap wireless that wasn't synchronized well, so that's the biggest thing. What have you guys used for this? Even if it has been for guitar, I assume the concept is the same. Super high fidelit...

Re: Serious GAS
Damn... very nice guitar. But as weird as Phil X may be, he can make pretty much any guitar sound decent.

I'd love to give a listen but this player isn't working for me. No errors, just I click play and nothing happens. Do you have the track posted anywhere else?

Re: TH100 demo by Rob Chappers
Yeah the "silliness" of the demo was really lame, but the amp sounds good even if Chappers playing isn't your style.
As for everything else... if you don't have anything nice to say... I'll just be quiet.

Re: OT: Tips on Tipping
Agree with the above, but for waiters, 20% is the new standard, IMO. If you give 15% for average/decent service, I think that's insulting. I only give 15% any more if the service is astonishingly bad, which is rare. I usually round up too, so if the bill is like $33 and change, I tip $7, not $6.50....

Re: vox ac4
Check the impedance of the speaker in the TT combo (I assume 16 ohm) and compare it to the taps on the AC4 head to know if you can do that.

Re: vox ac4
I have an AC4 (w/ 10" speaker) and really like it. The 4W setting is too much to crank at home, but provides a nice chimey clean to mess around with a pedal or two and moderate volumes. The 1W setting is (for me) perfect at home between noon and 2-o-clock on the dial -- but based on the other respon...

Re: NGD Pelham Blue Junior
What is the radius on the neck? It looks very wide and flat. I love the sounds I always hear out of these guitars, but don't think my hands could cope with the width and flatness of the neck. I really doubt it's really all that wide. Jrs usually have 50s style fat necks or else something in between...

Oh oh oh, I got it. Massive Merkin. Alliteration is always nice.Randy Bass wrote:I'd go with "Huge Merkin", but either would work. We would have also accepted "Large Crotchwig".nguideau wrote:I got his joke.
And if BYOC or someone similar put together a muff clone kit, would it be called the Big Merkin?
