Re: Line 6 dl4
I love my DL4 and even though it's a big pedal, there's something super convenient about being able to have a tap tempo delay on your board. I've never had any problem with my switches and I'd suggest it to anybody wanting to get a tap tempo delay. Also, as far as the volume drop, that's just someth...

Re: Recording using Amplitube Oranges
Those sound pretty rad for being a plugin. Like everyone else said, in the mix of everything, you'd probably never be able to tell that they weren't real. On that note, however, sometimes I feel like on the new album from Manchester Orchestra, that their recorded guitar sound was actually from plugi...

Re: Would you buy this cab?
Personally, I love my Orange PPC212 (and my AD30)... but I'd get the one with the greenbacks. As long as the cab is built well, the greenbacks would sound sweet with your AD30 and you can't argue with saving $400 to use on something else.

Ewww... Maybe your friend with the crappy M*rshall should've turned down and tried to find what little good tone was available in that amp.jojo68 wrote:At the time the other guitarist in my band used a jcm 2000 100 watt and with the volume dimed the rocker could keep up with it, barely..

Re: not many th30 fans...
I feel like the issue with the TH30 isn't necessarily with the amp it's, but the fact that it replaced an amp that does a better job at achieving the kind of sound that the TH30 is supposed to have... if that makes any sense. It's just the whole, why fix what's not broken kind of thing. The TH30 sou...

Re: Greetings from a newbie orange owner!
Congrats dude! This is a great forum but the general rule here is "pics or it didn't happen" We all love picture threads and seeing gear, or at least I do, so if you get a chance, you should upload some pics and show your new baby off! Anyways, good choice on your first Orange!

Re: Tube Talk - Tung Sol 12ax7 and a JJ ecc803s
I have Tung Sol 12ax7's and JJ EL84's in my AD30 and it made a HUGE difference to my sound. It feels much more alive and open than it did with the tubes that were in it when I bought it (EHX all the way through). I definitely don't find mine buzzsaw-ish, but I also have and AD30, not an AC15, so tak...

Re: New record done. Vinyl choice??
I don't do vinyl but I wanted to comment on the music. I like it! :D It's funny, cause someone mentioned The Ataris and I was thinking the second song (a song in eharmony) had a very very small likening to Gasoline Heart, which is a band that has toured with the Ataris quite a bit. It was just a lit...

Re: Mod on Gibson SG Standard
How do you feel about Big Crunch after having all the work done there? I need to get both my guitars set up pretty badly, and I heard about them through a friend. Were they expensive? And how quickly did they get your guitar done?

Re: thunderverb 50 vs rockerverb 100 ADVICE PLS
i would say the TV50 is your best bet here, despite my obvious bias and its high price. but it honestly fits your goals the best. the tones from the later underoath albums can certainly be had on ch B with the gain and vol up and the shape to the right. and your goliath drummer will tell you to tur...

Re: thunderverb 50 vs rockerverb 100 ADVICE PLS
The RV's and TV's are both superb amps and will definitely get you to where you want to go. I've just recorded with them both with my band. Here is the link to where I posted a couple of tracks if you wanna hear them. TV50 left side and RV50 right. http://forum.orangeamps.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=43...

Re: thunderverb 50 vs rockerverb 100 ADVICE PLS
Hey dude, does your band have a myspace or soundcloud or bandcamp or anything like that? I have a feeling that our musical interests are much the same and I just wanted to be able to listen to some of your stuff!

Re: thunderverb 50 vs rockerverb 100 ADVICE PLS
Thank you all very much! tomorrow I'm going to call a few local shops and see how many different selections of oranges they have and test some out. (my guitar center only has one tiny terror). I do have one more rather silly question..... Will all of these be able to power a Mesa 4x12 slant cab? Ju...

Re: thunderverb 50 vs rockerverb 100 ADVICE PLS
As a fellow member of a post-hxc/indie rock band, believe me when I say that 30 watts is enough. I've never played either of those two amps you're specifically looking at, but I wouldn't throw out the thought of getting a Rocker 30 or an AD30. I'm just saying, if you get a chance to try either one o...
