Yeah, I never see "broken" Orange Amps to raid for parts. Maybe I'll find an old radio or some totally unique and convert it. I'll keep searching.

Re: Tiny Terror Enclosure/Chassis
I am looking for the metal housing/enclosure itself. I want to use an Orange metal housing, vs building a Terror inside something like a Fender chassis/cabinet. Looking to buy one if someone sells them, or if someone has a broken amp to sell.

Re: AD15 & AD30 anyone using mercury Transformers?
I had a Rockerverb Head a while back and I changed the Demeter transformers in favor of the Mercury. What I remember was the Mercury changed the feel of the amp, a little stiffer. I remember it having more of a hi fi clarity. So it was not better just different. I preferred the Demeter in the rocker...

Tiny Terror Enclosure/Chassis
I have a Tiny Terror and a Rockerverb MKI. I happen to have some Tiny Terror transformers and want to make use of them. Anyone know where I might buy a Tiny Terror enclosure or does someone have one for parts? I've been poking around in eBay to find one but I haven't been able to find one. Let me kn...

Re: NAD - M*rshall 1987X
I am surprised to hear what is going on. I have not played any new production Marshalls but I did a project years ago gutting a JTM reissue and redoing it. Fun project and got me going into amp building. If the circuit is right, then it must be a component issue. Hand wired boards are easier to fix ...

Re: NAD - M*rshall 1987X
I've sent it back. Turning the presence knob made some weird scratching noise from speakers, like an old amp which hasn't been in use for a long time. At Marshall's Swedish service center they say it's normal (DC voltage) though I've spoken to two guys who own 1987's (one -96 and one from -15) and ...

Re: NAD - eeek shock horror gasp ..a Marshall????
Never played a vintage modern, but played and built many Marshalls. KT66 JTM45 sounds killer clean to crunch. This clip will give you and idea. EL34 with diode rectifier super leads hav a different feel and sound. To get an idea, you really need to play them. I love my JTM45 and my JCM800. Need to c...

Re: Thunderverb Reverb not working
Likely a bad reverb tube, but could be a faulty reverb tank. Could also be a problem wth the cables that attach the tank. Check to be sure the cables don't have a small split on the wire casing grounding some of the signal. If those things check out, could be a bad component in the reverb circuit. M...

Re: Attenuator
I had a Marshall JTM45 and ran it through a 2x12 with a V30 and G12H30. I needed an antrenuator to knock the volume down with band to get the right amount of amp distortion I was looking for. I changed to the Heritage G12M Greenbacks and the amp was perfect with no attenuator. The lower efficiency H...
