Re: Rocker 30 being brought back???!!!???

This is exactly how I bought my Rocker head about a year ago.

It was for several hundred less though.

It came in like-new condition. Still had the "Made in Britain" tag on it, which I will still leave on.

Re: I bought a AD30 but I prefer my Dual Terror. Is this nor

I would actually bet money that the Rocker will be the closest amp to this tone (It was my reason for dropping the TH-30 and picking it up in the first place). I have this concert on Blu-ray, and I absolutely love the tone and the concert (I listen to it in lossless with a very nice sound system). J...

Re: I bought a AD30 but I prefer my Dual Terror. Is this nor

I must say that it sounds good. However, it does NOT beat the Rocker. I can already tell that the AD30's gain channel (though it sounds "good") would get lost in the mix. The Rocker pierces with ballsyness. The AD30 is just more fluffy fuzzy. The Rocker has a unique voice....a fine blend between a ...

Re: I bought a AD30 but I prefer my Dual Terror. Is this nor

I saw a used AD30 at Guitar Center (plugged into an Orange cab). I was so thrilled to try it out for the first time. I must say that it sounds good. However, it does NOT beat the Rocker. I can already tell that the AD30's gain channel (though it sounds "good") would get lost in the mix. The Rocker p...

Re: TH100/30 owners brace yourselves!!!

Good versatile amp, but the gain channel sounds artificial and fizzy..much like a hybrid amp. It's probably how the OR15 and the Jim Root sound; I wouldn't be surprised. I agree 100% with Jason in that Orange is shooting themselves. The TH to me just doesn't have an authentic Orange tone. I've had t...

Re: Buying, Selling, Trading annoyances!

Speaking of poultry... has anyone here ever seen this movie? Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0462485/ Yes, it's just as ridiculous as it sounds! Why are you guys talking about meat? Why aren't YOU talking about meat? :P That is by far the best Troma movie e...

Re: Buying, Selling, Trading annoyances!

The biggest annoyance, by far, is the fact that individual differences creates inherent inconsistencies of how sellers "rate" their items. One seller may rate something "9/10," while another (who has more knowledge/background) will rate it "6/10." I'm currently looking for a motorcycle, and I really...

Re: Rocker 30, why not 50watts?

Natural channel headroom you mean. Yes, it has hardly none (I think it's more like 5 watts there). But it works for me because it's the only way I can use it in a small room. This weakness can also be fixed with the Fulltone OCD pedal. Just turn on the pedal on the natural channel, and you get TONS ...

I don't have the answer to this, but I can guarantee you that the Rocker's Dirty Channel sounds like it's 100 watts.

Re: Guitar Practice Ratio

All depends on what type of player you want to be. If you want to be a "technical player" (like Vai, Satriani, etc) then you really gotta put on the study hat and learn your modes. To many people, "technical playing" is great, but I'm more floored when I watch Jimmy Page live, who is opposite of "te...

Riding my DS-1 for a Fulltone OCD was one of the best decisions on my pedalboard.
