Moog tones through Rockerverb 100 MKII
I know people here generally dislike my music, but I have to share this for the tones!!! For some reason I had never plugged my synth (Moog Little Phatty) into my Rockerverb before the other day, I guess because there would be less subs and generally my synth is about bass. I'm doing synth...

Re: New toy. :)
cool! congrats! I have found that I like V30's best with my TThw. Post about it if you frankenstein it. I will for sure. I won't have the money for anything for a while, can't even afford decent tubes yet. First on the list is building a new cab that has more of the Orange depth, then building a sp...

New toy. :)
The latest addition to my family arrived today, making me very happy! A little Chinese Tiny Terror. I usually play through a 100w Rockerverb MKII but needed something small for my current project. This will be the gigging set-up (plus a range of pedals) for my "extreme jazz" duet, visitation. I used...

Re: OFFICIAL ORANGE SOUND CLIP THREAD
Some Orangey doomy soundscape kind of stuff. drums and guitar with various effects and a looper. Gibson Artisan>Rockerverb 100MKII FX loop: Fuzz Factory>HBE Psilocybe>EHX Bass Micro Synth>EHX Deluxe Memory Boy>EHX 2880>Return For the most part it is subtle filter modulation using the Micro Synth, th...

Re: Adding reverb to Tiny Terror?
Thanks for the input. I know digital effects have come a long way but I have yet to hear any that really please my ear. I have not tried a great deal of digital reverbs, so maybe there are some out there that are better than what I've heard, but everything still does sound digital to me… feels synth...

Re: Adding reverb to Tiny Terror?
Yeah, I've been checking out Vanamps but if I have to spend £200+ (which I don't even have) then I'd rather get a kit for a standalone valve driven spring unit. I know there's a company selling a mod kit to turn an Epi Valve Junior into a standalone valve driven spring reverb, it's about £50 and a s...

Adding reverb to Tiny Terror?
Okay, sorry if this sounds stupid… I don't know a lot about electronics. I'm getting a Tiny Terror because I need something small, valvey and cheapish, and because it's a beautiful sounding little amp! The problem is that I like to use a lot of subtle to cavernous reverb and I'm used to the wonderfu...

Re: Tiny Terror vs Night Train, unbiased advice please.
Im not sure how soon do you need this or what is your budget but Engl jus released to the public a small lunchbox amp called the ironball. I know it sounds a bit odd, and seems like every other manufacturer swears that their amps can cover every imaginable style of music, which is all crap, but thi...

Re: Tiny Terror vs Night Train, unbiased advice please.
Any suggestions for replacement tubes? I haven't even revalved my Rockerverb yet due to lack of money. But it wouldn't cost so much to revalve a TT. any suggestions and the strengths/differences between tubes would be greatly appreciated. I haven't tried many.

Re: Tiny Terror vs Night Train, unbiased advice please.
Thanks all! Be prepared for a very biased opinion. The first time I plugged in to a TT I was blown away. That was the start of the Orange path for me. But I started looking at Oranges because I really got into the Vox AC30 sound and I was exploring UK amps. I was pretty excited when the NT came out ...

Tiny Terror vs Night Train, unbiased advice please.
Hello! I hope this isn't considered some kind of betrayal, but I'm looking int the Night Train. I need a really small amp, at around 15w (no less), to do gigging over the next few months (and because I jus t want one!). I have no transport to move my Orange monsters at the moment so I'm doing a more...

Yeah, I think it was quite light actually, but extreme fuzz tones.a.hun wrote:Call that extreme? Nice bit of light jazz improv!
TT --> OBC212? Now THATS unconventional!
Andy.
and I'm an idiot (as I expect people realised)… NOT an OBC…. a PPC 212OB. All that fuzz got to my brain….

First experience with Tiny Terror
Yesterday I had my first proper meeting with a Tiny Terror (through Orange PPC212 OB). Wowsers!!! I have heard other people through them before, but never had a chance to play with the tones and I WANT ONE!!!!!! (or preferably a dual for channel switching). With the power section cranked you get suc...

Re: Give me your top 10 rock solos - New Year's Resolution
If you want good stretching then it might be good to look outside of rock, as most rock solos are just fast pentatonic. I'm not putting anything down, before anyone gets offended, just offering some advice. Maybe look into jazz (I know most is dull and boring, but it is kind of the ultimate musical ...
